I have always made music of various quality, and it is the easiest and most challenging to do. Writing songs is easy, but getting those songs recorded is much more challenging. Music has never been something I’ve earned money with, so, while I make music, I don’t consider myself a musician. Here are some of the projects I’ve worked on (more being added soon).

I also sing with the London Humanist Choir and host music discover concerts in Hampstead with Sofar Sounds.

Music

The Terrans

To date, my last and favourite band project. This was a minimal viable three-piece that played alt-rock originals and a few covers. I fronted the band, played bass and wrote the songs. The band shaped the songs into rough diamonds. Ciaran played wonderfully powerful guitar and Luc provided the beat that held everything together.

FAWM (February Album Writing Month)

Each year, I now challenge myself to complete February Album Writing Month (FAWM). The aim is to write 14 songs in the 28 days of February. I’ve completed it twice. Here are a few demos created during FAWM (far from polished).

Astroturf

This was a previous project I was part of. I contributed to the songs and Toby and Andy now form part of the band The Breakdown, delivering similar indie rock. Alison provided vocals and Ben was on Keys. The songs are a collaboration between different members and I’ve included the songs here I mostly wrote. Andy often provides riffs and you can hear the riff I used on Track and Pan on their new band track, King of the Hill.

Older tracks

This is a random collection of tracks I’ve recorded over the years. These are self-produced tracks. The style varies and doesn’t represent the kind of thing I’m now working on. I’m putting these here for completeness.
